Fish Drawings
A small collection of simple fish drawings created to illustrate articles and be placed on gift product like tees and mugs.
Koi Carp
The koi carp image below made a nice change from trying to draw something with fur.
Koi are bright and colorful and in real life are a peaceful watery companion for fish-keepers.
At one point in my life I was lucky enough to have an old swimming pool, converted into a koi pond. With proper filtration and the addition of lilies and some time, it developed into an above ground pool for koi.
After a few years the original small fish purchased locally grew into foot long specimens. Peaceful fish tame enough to hand feed and lovely to watch.
So yeah, I drew a koi when I started drawing. Just because I like them.

Neon Tetra
The traditional starter fish for tropical aquariums. These Neon Tetras are swimming in a shoal.
To create this design a single Neon was drawn in some detail. The fish was copied multiple times changing the size and angle slightly to make it appear like a collection of similar, but not identical, fish.
Neon Tetras have given me a few problems. Not artistically or even when keeping them, but because Neon is one of those words that can trigger certain algorithms. If I create a Neon Tetra t-shirt for example, some manufacturers will say "It's not neon, you are being misleading".
When art and fish-keeping meet the world of algorithms. Jeez.

Shark
Shark is a fun design using the shape of letters in the word to create the creature.
This design is one of my favorite creations. It is because for a brief moment I created something fairly unique. Not simply representing something that has already been done better a million times over.
As for sharks themselves.
Well, we all know they are magnificent. An ace predator at the top of the chain.

Tuna
The Tuna in the cartoon below looks a little like a real tuna. Because the joke doesn't work unless the creature at least bears some resemblance to the real thing.
I don't know much about the tuna fish. I like the taste of tuna and I have seen pictures of massive ones that people catch.
I know a little about the piano. I can't play it like I dream of, despite having spent quite some time trying to learn.

End of My Fish Drawings
Surprisingly to me I seem to have very few fish drawings.
It's not that I don't appreciate fish for their beauty. Nor am I unaware of the myriad of aquatic possibilities for anyone who wants to do a bit of drawing.
I just haven't got around to many of them yet.
